early flowering lagerstroemias
early flowering lagerstroemias
Hello,
Sorry for writing this topic in English, unfortunately I cannot write in France.
I'm a exotic plant enthusiast from Holland and I have a great interest in the Lagerstroemia. I'm very curious which lagerstroemia's blooms at first in your area.
In Holland the New Zealand dwarf lagerstroemias are the first bloomers (middle Juli). Than the hopi than tuscaroa and natchez, rosea etc.
I hope there are somewhere lagerstroemias (except the dwarf lagerstroemias) than can bloom earlier than the lagerstroemia hopi.
I’m very curious about your experiences
Cheers,
Maurits

Hello maurits,
Welcome to our french community of gardeners, but I am not sure that all gardeners here will be able to understand you. Can you try to speak in french ?
Thanks

Re: early flowering lagerstroemias
En fait il voudrait savoir lequel des "lagerstroemias" fleuri avant le "lagerstroemias hopi" et si possible un autre que "dwarf lagerstroemias " qui lui pousse Mi Juillet.
Sorry maurits but i can't help you because i don't know all the species of this plant. I have only a Lagerstroemias indica and i'm from Belgium which have a different climate from France.
If someone have a answer and can't type it on english, i will translate it for you.
See ya !

Tiens ça m'intéresse. Le lagerstroemia pousse bien et surtout fait de jolies fleurs en Belgique?J'ai toujours cru que ce n'était pas très adapté pour les climats de Belgique/Nord de la France.GreG_WMN a écrit : Sorry maurits but i can't help you because i don't know all the species of this plant. Hey Remik,
Yes they can flower in Belgium or Holland. I live in the north east of Holland and had different lagerstroemias in bloom. Natchez, hopi, tuscarora, zuni, acoma and tonto can flower in Holland or Belgium. I hope there are more species that can bloom. I also know a 30 year old lagerstroemia in south east Holland.
Its no problem to answer in France, i use google.translate

La floraison n'est pas spectaculaire non plus, même s'il est en plein soleil ...
